October 2013 Ipsy Bag

I'm a little late on the Ipsy Bag this month. I guess I have to be honest, it wasn't my all time favorite. However, I did manage to get some useful products, and as usual, it's better than sample sizes!

Here's what I got:

I'm always excited to try new face creams. I'm constantly using moisturizer on my face since it is so dry. I tried this Ole Henriksen Advanced Hydration cream and it was more of a light weight moisturizer in my opinion. It had an after-scent which was not very pleasant (almost mildew-ish) Anyways, I normally use these types of moisturizers for travel!
I LOVE getting hairspray in my bags! Especially the "Sexy Hair" brand. I'm a huge fan of most of their products and I was anxious to try this "Spray Clay". It gives your hair a bit more texture than a hairspray does, yet still gives hold. I'm liking!
I've gotten so many mineral shadows in my bags lately. This brand is new to me but I wasn't pleased at all with the color selection. RARELY do I wear blue eye shadow, maybe once in a blue moon (no pun intended) when I don't have a black on hand. The shadow itself is extremely pigmented which is a plus, but I just don't see myself getting much use out of the color.
Full size nail polishes have become a staple in the Ipsy bags. I received a blue/green color which, again, probably not something I will reach for often but I do enjoy Zoya polishes in general.
I love getting brushes! I remember I got the Soho blending brush months ago and I'm still using it. Coastal Scents is a familiar brand and I know I will get a lot of use out of this standard shader brush!

Despite the fact that this month's bag wasn't the best ever, I know Ipsy is out the impress and next month's bag is sure to be better ;)

Until next time...

  1. I wasn't very impressed with my bag either! Last month's was amazing, though, and for $10 it's kinda hard to beat!!
