Simple Shimmering Chestnut Eyes

Hey guys! I filmed a tutorial on my channel today and decided I would snap some shots to throw together a simple pictorial for you all. It's super easy and perfect for every day wear. I hope you like!

  1. Take "Guru" (light beige/brown) from Bare Minerals "The Enlightenment" Duo and place in the crease.
  2. Take "Namaste" (medium chestnut brown) from "The Enlightenment" Duo and place on the outer corner of lid and also into the crease.
  3. Apply a super shimmery shadow to the inner half of the lid. I used Urban Decay's new "Moon Dust" eye shadow in "Space Cowboy".
  4. Take a brown liner and line the upper and half of the lower lash line. Then, smudge with "Namaste".
  5. Apply a brown mascara. I used Julep's Lengthening Mascara in "Espresso".
  6. You're done!
The Rest of My Look

Products Used:
  • Clinique CC Cream in "Light"
  • Bare Minerals Translucent Touch Up Mineral Veil
  • Vera Wang Illuminating Powder Blush in # 315
  • Bare Minerals Illuminator in "The Shining Moment"
  • Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in "Berry"
  • Buxom Full Bodied Lip Gloss in "Mwah"

I hope you enjoyed this quick post!

Until next time...

  1. Such a beautiful look! Your posts kill me (err, my wallet) because I want to go out and buy all the pretty products you use!!

    1. Thank you! The browns could definitely be subbed for drugstore and the Urban Decay shadow could be subbed with any shimmer pigment :)Thanks for reading!

  2. love this and the pics turned out so clear and perfect!! How did you get such great light?!

    1. I only use natural lighting :) Anytime I film or photograph a makeup look, I always do it in front of my window. Beats any artificial lighting I've ever used!
