Well, it's that time of month again! All of my subscription boxes are pouring in. This year I'm going to try and keep all of them updated on here monthly so you can decide if any appeal to you. Today I'll be talking a little bit about my thoughts on the products in the January Birchbox. Enjoy!
Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo
Description: "Gentle enough for everyday use, this cleanser has a low-suds formula that removes build-up without stripping hair of essential oils."
This is the second shampoo I have received from Birchbox. I have to admit, this is a great size. Definitely perfect for travel or that moment of panic when your in the shower and suddenly forget you ran out of shampoo. However, the scent of this is not very pleasant. It reminds me of my Pureology Hydrate shampoo which smells like pepper to me (crazy I know) But who knows, it could work!

Hot Mama blush by "theBalm" cosmetics
Description: "Two-in-One blush and highlighter. This universally flattering pigment is laced with golden shimmer to warm up your complexion."
I absolutely love The Balm. Hot Mama is a blush I have owned before. It is extremely gorgeous. My favorite time of the year to wear it is in the summer. It gives your skin a gorgeous peachy highlight. The description is definitely right when it states that this product is a "Two-in-One blush and highlighter."

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre (24-hour Miracle Cream)
Description: "A favorite of models and makeup artists, this cult french moisturizer heals dryness and leaves skin primed for foundation."
I was SO excited to get the Embryolisse moisturizer this month! I have been waiting on the Birchbox website for it to become available but it has been sold out forever. There's been so many great things said about this moisturizer so I'm anxious to put it to the test with my dry skin.

Aerie "Shimmer" fragrance
Description: "This light as air blend of bergamot, peony, and vanilla feels fresh and warm."
Ok, let me start out by saying that I really enjoy the fragrance samples Birchbox includes every month. I was never a perfume girl until I started discovering different scents. However, the samples that aren't in a sample spray bottle kind of irritate me. Nobody wants to take the time to pop the cork screw cap off of this tiny tube and risk getting an unappealing fragrance scent on them. Well, that's what happened in this case. I was NOT a fan of this perfume and of course it got all over my hands leaving me with an unpleasant scent. Bummer.

Beauty Extra of the Month
Deborah Lippmann "The Stripper to go" nail polish remover pads
Description: "These sweetly scented nail polish remover mitts make changing lacquer a breeze."
I have always heard great things about Deborah Lippman nail polishes but I've never had the opportunity to try them. It was nice to get these little pads because I love the fact that you don't have to drag out your remover/cotton balls/ cotton pads to remove your polish. However, I would have definitely enjoyed an actual polish even more ;)

That's it for this month's Birchbox!
Overall I was pretty impressed based on the last couple I have received. Keep it up Birchbox!
