Hi everyone! Today's lifestyle blog is over one of my absolute favorite drinks on the planet...SMOOTHIES! This is a quick and simple smoothie recipe I use to incorporate fruits into my daily diet. Enjoy!
How To: Strawberry Banana Smoothie
What You'll Need:
- 1 small banana
- Smoothie Mix (powder form) in your flavor choice
- Frozen Strawberries
- Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Milk (40 calorie carton)
- Blender
Preparation:
- Place 1 cup of frozen strawberries and the small banana (sliced) in the blender.
- Pour half of the smoothie mix over the fruit.
- Add a little over a cup of the Almond Milk to the blender (less if you like your smoothies thicker).
- Blend to your desired consistency and enjoy!
Calories and Fat:
- Serving Size: About 16 fl oz.
- Calories: 285
- Fat: 3.8 grams
Tricks To Reduce Calories:
- Use less of the smoothie mix. It contains the most calories.
- Choose something other than a banana. Banana's generally have more calories than other fruits.
- If you are really brave, use water instead of almond milk. (You'll only save 40 calories though) not worth it to me!
- Of course, you can also make a 12 oz smoothie rather than 16! I generally make these for work whenever I go in at 10am and don't get to eat until 2ish so more calories doesn't bother me.
I hope you all enjoyed this quick and simple smoothie recipe. Let me know if you try it!
Have a lovely day! -Shelbey
