I'll be honest, last year's Pantone Color of the Year was not a win for me - as far as being flattering for all women. Wild Orchid took the crown for the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year and I can truly say that I wasn't a fan. However, my feelings towards this year's color is the complete opposite. "Marsala" was named the 2015 Pantone Color just a few days ago and I immediately fell in love!
So why all of the excitement over "Marsala"? To be honest - it's simply an elegant and universal color. Not only that but it's very on trend for this winter. I'm looking to dabble into unusual pairings with this color! It's described as a "terra cotta red" but I think it can take on many variations.
What do you think about the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year? Would you like to see a tutorial?
Marsala is a great color and sounds like a great winter and fall color but I feel like it is too deep of a cranberry to rock comfortably in the late spring and summer.
ReplyDeleteWas this the color you were wearing in your last video? I think the color is lovely, but I heard it described as a wine red.
ReplyDeleteI love this one, too. Even before it was "color of the year" I leaned toward this one quite often.
