BECCA Beach Tint Shimmering Souffle "Watermelon/Moonstone"

Eeek! I am so excited to write this post! For the past few months I've been on a huge BECCA fan spree. I've been testing out a lot of their products and when I saw these Shimmering Souffles, well, I knew they had to me mine!

The Shimmering Souffles are creamy cheek tints infused with BECCA's infamous glowing shades like "moonstone", "topaz", and "opal". I picked up the shade "Watermelon/Moonstone". Which is a vibrant reddish pink with a subdued golden shimmer. The Souffles retail for $27.
As you can see from the photo above, once you touch the souffle, the colors will mold together. Does this give anyone else anxiety? The texture is so delicately soft. I mean, you barely have to tap your finger/brush in and it practically melts. This is both a good, and bad thing. It's great because the blendability is amazing. They melt perfectly into the skin. However, I think it would be very easy to over use this product since it is so soft and delicate.

The price is definitely steep for the amount of product you are receiving. I normally wouldn't go out on a limb and purchase a small product at this price but BECCA has been impressing me a lot lately and I have to admit, these are like nothing I've seen from any other brand! Plus, this particular color smells like watermelon! Not sure if they all smell this way but this one smells great!
Like I mentioned, these blend into the cheeks so naturally. The only thing I'm rather disappointed in is that I can't really pick up on the "shimmer" in these. They do have a bit of luminosity to them but I was expecting the "moonstone" shade to really highlight my cheek bones but I never really picked up on it.
Overall, if we are taking the price into consideration, I expected a little bit more. The color is beautiful and the texture is out of this world amazing. However, I wasn't blown away by the overall look. I was hoping for a more glowy/luminous finish. I do think it's a gorgeous color but for $27 I was expecting a "YAAAAS....I'm in love!!" reaction. What do you guys think?

  1. I think it looks nice but I'm surprised that the swatch is a lighter than in the packaging.

    1. I know. A little disappointing. It shows up better on my actual face. I think the swatch was hindered because my arms are dark right now but at least we know how it would appear on tan skin!

  2. It looks Inc in your skin, but I'm unpleasantly surprised by the pigmentation.
