Beauty Wants | April 2014

Beauty Wants
As self proclaimed beauty addicts, when do we NOT want makeup? Lately, I feel like brands have been pumping out some awesome and VERY tempting products. These are just a few I've been dying to get my hands on!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette - The hype about this palette was roaring around the holidays. Hourglass did away with it after Christmas but has recently brought it back permanently! I can't hold back much longer, this will be mine soon!

Korres Lip Butter - This has become one of my favorite lip products. I currently own the Jasmine shade which actually shows up clear on my lips. I'd love to get my hands on a colored shade for summer!

GLAM GLOW Thirsty Mud Mask - This is a product I feel skeptical about? I've seen so many great reviews over it but can't help to wonder if it REALLY helps with increased hydration in the skin. Anyone who's tried it care to give me feedback?

Josie Maran Argan Infinity Creamy Intensive Cheek and Lip Color - UGH ever since I saw this in the "just arrived" section on Sephora a few weeks ago, I knew I had to own one. I'm a huge fan of the original Intensive Creamy Oil and now that it's available in makeup form, all I can say it, Hallelujah!

IT Cosmetics "Bye Bye Under Eye" Corrector - I accidentally purchased the Bye Bye Under Eye concealer a couple months ago and it is proving to be a little too thick to apply. I've heard amazing reviews about the corrector (which is what I meant to purchase) and now I'm kicking myself for not paying attention!

NARS Pro Prime Eye Primer - How insanely weird is it that I have the driest skin on the face of the planet, yet my eye lids are practically grease balls? Recently, I've noticed my eye shadow creasing tremendously - more than usual. I generally use my MAC Pro Long Wear concealer to prime them and it has been the best thing I've found other than the Julep Mattifying Primer (which still occasionally creases). Once again, I've heard the NARS Eye Primer can't be beat! Anyone tried it?

Bobbi Brown Nectar Shimmer Brick - Another HUGE splurge product that I feel I can't live without (the struggles of an addict). Bobbi Brown is such a luxury brand it almost intimidates me. Like, no joke, I don't own ONE BB product and I've never even ventured to visit a counter. The Shimmer Bricks are literally like diamonds to me, they look so gorgeous! I've always wanted the Nectar shade!

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask - Like I mentioned, I have a living version of a desert on my face. My skin can never have too much hydration and that goes for my lips as well. The Agave Lip Mask has been raved about recently for being an awesome lip repair. The only thing that has stopped me from purchasing it has been the bad packaging claims about the lip mask oozing out of the top!

Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme - I can't even begin to tell you how OBSESSED I've been with BECCA lately! Ever since purchasing the Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector Powder, I'm hooked. I love that the brand really embodies everything I look for in makeup which is luminosity, a natural look, and overall beautiful products! This is a foundation I haven't heard much about but would love to test out!

What have you guys been dying to try?
Let me know!

Until next time...

  1. NARS Pro Prime is the only thing that keeps my shadow from creasing a full 12 hours! When I need something to really last, I reach for it. I've tried UD and Too Faced and they both work for about 6-8 hours, but I'm usually creased by the time I'm off work. If your lids are crazy oily like mine, the NARS is a great investment!!

I've tried the Glam Glow Super Mud, but not the Thirsty Mud. The Super Mud was like WHOA TINGLY, but I kinda loved it! Too bad it's $$$!! And let us know if you do the It Cosmetics Corrector - I'm also eyeing it!!

  2. Dying to try the new Josie Maran cheek and lip color. I "saw" it the last time I was in Sephora, but didn't have time to actually stop and look at it. Looks amazing!! And that Hourglass Palette will be mine soon, too :)

  3. I, too, want to try the Josie Maran Creamy Oils and the BIte Beauty Agave Lip Mask.

I love the Nars Primer and it is certainly worth the price. I recently purchased a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick and am in love. I found mine at a Cosmetic Company Store and paid $30 instead of $50, so if you have one near you I recommend checking there first.

  4. I bought the Josie and Bite products recently. I like them both. I was also going to suggest the Cosmetics Company Store for Bobbi Brown products. I like to get the more expensive products there that I'm not sure of. They carry all Estée Lauder brands.
