Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment "Blushing Bride"

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone's week is winding down quickly. Today I'm sharing a new twist Tarte has recently added to their "LipSurgence" Line called the "power pigments". This line consists of intense richly pigmented LipSurgence Lip Pencils and Cheek Stains. I picked up the power pigment LipSurgence in "Blushing Bride" ($24) which actually has its own line of color coordinated products.

"Blushing Bride" is a rich berry shade. I was drawn to this color because berry shades tend to flatter my skin tone. The "power pigment" line is supposed to be even more intense than the other LipSurgence colors Tarte has already released - because of this, Tarte has "downsized" the product from .10oz to .04 oz. This is a HUGE loss of product and is something to take into consideration when purchasing the Power Pigment LipSurgence.

As a whole, I like this color. It screams "me". With that being said, I can tell a big difference in the formulation of the power pigments compared to the original formulas of the LipSurgence. These seem apply a little less smoothly than the others. I don't know if it has anything to do with the extra pigment but I was expecting them to be a bit more smoother.

The overall wear of this particular shade was pretty great. I would give it a solid 4 hours, and that's with eating and drinking. I can't exactly vouch for the lighter shades in this collection since I only chose to try out one first. However, I was pretty impressed!
I have to say, based on the price and the amount that you get, I will probably be sticking with my original LipSurgence selection. Nothing about this particular shade or formula "wowed" me. Sure, I like it, but when it comes down to the price and overall package of the product, I think the original LipSurgence comes out on top. I even think some of the original LipSurgence colors are as pigmented as the power pigment shade I have.

What do you guys think? Have you tried the new power pigments? Let me know!

Until next time...

  4. If the battery is not taken from storage and charged/discharged occasionally, it will certainly fail to function when you need it. When you do store power tool batteries, make sure to store them in a dry, cool, clean place away from metal and sharp 3000
