Emerald Smokey Eye

Hey guys! It's been a while since I shared a personal makeup look so I thought I'd share one today that I've been loving lately!

This look is perfect for festive holiday parties and get-togethers. I wanted to do something a little more creative than the standard smokey eye so I incorporated rich olives, emeralds, and blacks into this soft emerald smokey eye. I hope you enjoy!

Must Haves for This Look:
"The Scenic Route" is the most wearable green shade I have ever seen! If you're skeptical about branching out into the green family, I would highly suggest this duo. It is a duo chrome which means it has two colors that can be detected in different lighting. Once the green shade is blended out, it makes a gorgeous light mossy brown transition into the crease.

A Jade or Emerald green eye liner is ideal for this look since the green in "The Scenic Route" is more on the neutral side. Adding a true bright green to the lower lash line will make the green noticeable without overdoing the entire eyes.

If you're planning on wearing this at a party or special event, definitely be sure to apply some kind of eye primer to the lids to ensure the shadows stay on all night and don't crease.

Here's my full tutorial on the look in case you really want a full in depth "how to"

Thanks for reading!
Until next time...

  1. A lot of the emerald eye looks I've seen are too dramatic for everyday wear...BUT this one is PERFECT! I wouldn't feel too crazy wearing this to school and work!
