October 2013 Favorites

Ahh... Friday at last. I can't tell you how busy I've been with school, work (I got a second job at Bath & Body by the way), and the blog/channel! Speaking of work, I had an exciting gig to work with a huge jewelry company in my area doing makeup for their catalog shoot! Hopefully I can snag some photos to share later on down the road :)

I also started an "Instagram Shop" where I literally sold over half of my wardrobe last week. If feels good to get rid of items I never wear anymore, knowing they're going to someone who will! I shipped out every day last week - it was crazy to say the least! Go ahead and check it out for yourself :)

I wanted to keep today's post light so I'm sharing the FEW favorites I had this month. All beauty related. Ironically, I feel as if I've been wearing less and less makeup lately. I'm either too tired to put it on or just not in the mood for any dramatic look. I guess this is what being on the go 24/7 feels like!?

For some reason, I've always loved AE's perfume selection. I'm not sure if they've ever made a fragrance I didn't like. However, I have to admit that this scent in particular would not have been my first choice had I of smelt it first. Being the careless person I am, I just smelled of the body mist and thought to myself  "Oh this smells amazing, I might as well get the perfume" - so I bought it without smelling of it first. In my defense, they didn't have a tester out!
Anyways, it smelled nothing like the body mist. I don't mean that in a bad way...obviously it's in my favorites right now. I have seriously never smelled a fragrance like it. At first, you get a strong hint of almost a cologne scent, then it fades into a light "barely there" fragrance. I'm not sure who I'm trying to kid, I can never describe scent well. If you're in AE anytime soon, be sure to give this a smell and see what you think!

This was a new product line introduced to me by Deana from the Mineral Hygienics. I've been testing it out all week and I have to say that I am most impressed with this mineral bronzer, or "enhancer" as they call it. It is specifically designed for light skin tones and is much lighter than regular bronzers. I love it, like the name says, it has a "cool" undertone to it so it won't turn you orange! I will be doing a full review over this line within the upcoming weeks!

I have to apologize in advance for the crappy appearance of this brush, but at least you can tell I've been using it ;) I was skeptical that this thing would work when I got it in my October Pop Sugar Must Have Box, BUT it has been a miracle! The Wet Brush is designed to brush your hair without tugging or pulling it out while it is damp or wet. It brushes through my tangly head like a gem. I would highly recommend it, even on dry hair!

These have been my favorite makeup removing wipes for quite some time now and I recently switched back after having a different brand and I'm so glad I did. First of all, the smell is great. If your a grapefruit lover, you'll love these. They are very moist which I like because it allows you to get every single bit of your makeup off no matter how much your wearing. Lastly, I don't feel as if they leave my skin with a nasty residue on it. Go try them now!

Love the smell of this stuff! It is honestly the first dry shampoo that doesn't cake up my hair and actually leaves it smelling fresh. I'm a big fan right now :)

That's it for my monthly favorites!
What are you guys loving currently? :)

Until next time...

  1. I loved the Wet Brush from my PopSugar Must Have Box so much that I purchased 2 more through Amazon! Best brush I've had in years!

  2. I love mineral makeup, so I'll have to try that brand. Thanks!
