High End Dupe Series: Eye Liner and Mascara

Hi ya'll! I'm back again with another Dupe Series! This one is a little shorter than most because I'm still brainstorming and trying out products. These are the eye liner and mascara dupes that I've had the chance to try and would recommend checking out before splurging :)

High End Dupes: Eye Liner and Mascara

High End Dupes: Eye Liner and Mascara

  • MAC Fluidline Gel Liner $16 vs. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner $7.00 : MAC is infamous for their gel liner, especially the color Blacktrack, which is their classic "blackest black" liner. However, I think it's becoming no surprise that the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner is catching up with them quickly. The formulas are pretty much identical and I've even heard a few people on YT say that their Fluidline liner dried out quicker than their drugstore gel liner! Come on now, it's eye liner, do we really need to whip out $16+ for it every time?
  • Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara "Volumizing" $18 vs. Almay "Get up & Grow" $6.97 : Oh how it kills me to dupe my favorite makeup brand! Ha ha... the Bare Minerals Volumizing Mascara is probably my favorite mascara out of the entire collection. The formula is not too wet but not too dry and it coats amazingly. However, I bought the Almay "Get Up and Grow" based on a recommendation by none other than, EmilyNoel83 on YT and I have to say that I immediately thought of the BM Volumizing mascara when I used it. The formula is a tad bit drier but I think that makes it layerable (made up word? probably) Not to mention, the formula itself is supposed to make your lashes grow. I never really saw a difference but I just used it for a couple months. Definitely worth checking out if you want a good volumizing mascara.
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner $19 vs. Rimmel ScandalEYES Waterproof Liner $4.49 : IDENTICAL.... that's all I have to say. I lusted over the Urban Decay liners FOR EVER and tried to use mine as little as possible so they would last. Then, all of a sudden, the ultimate eye liner dupe opened up from the heavens and graced me with its presence....the Rimmel ScandalEYES Liner! I'm telling you, just as creamy, just as easy to apply, and just as waterproof. There's also a great selection of colors (I have black, nude, taupe, and brown). They're fabulous. Everyone should have one in their collection.
  • Clinique Lash Building Primer $15 vs. L'oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara $9.99: I'm pretty sure this L'oreal mascara was the first mascara I ever owned as a teen. First of all, not only does it contain a lash primer similar to the Clinique, but it also comes WITH a it's a win win. You're paying $15 for 1 product with Clinique and right at $10 for 2 products at the drugstore. I loved this mascara, the primer really does give your lashes a great boost!
Okay! So that's it for this dupe series! Thanks for all of the positive feedback! I'm constantly thinking of dupes and keeping track on the notepad on my phone. I'll probably be working on eye shadow next. What type would you like to see first? Loose pigment, pressed, palettes, matte, shimmer, etc.?

Let me know! :)

Until next time...

  1. Favorite beauty product? I just bought a mascara that's supposed to make my eye look less like a menopausal 43-year-old's. It's a eyelid and some other stuff, all in one. Right now I just like that it saves time! Mink Eyelashes
