August Ipsy Bag

Hey everyone!
I'm excited to share my Ipsy bag this month! It came with some great products (as usual)

Enjoy!

*not photoed - Michael Todd Pumpkin Facial Mask

Michael Todd Pumpkin Facial Mask

I completely forgot the Michael Todd Pumpkin Mask at my parent's house when I went home last week to visit! I wanted to show this first because I've heard a lot of hype about Michael Todd. I tried the Pumpkin Facial Mask last week and I'm not sure if it's because my skin is dry and sensitive right now, but it kind of burned?! It smelled (and looked) just like Libby's canned pumpkin...which is a good thing in my opinion. I just wish I could have kept it on long enough to see how I liked it!

MICA Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in "Bronze"
This is my second loose shadow from MICA Beauty. I have to say, this is a very pretty color. I'm more of a fan of this shade compared to the pinkier one we received a few months ago. These shadows are very pigmented and shimmery - perfect for glitter lovers out there!
Lime Crime Nail Polish in "Crema De Limon"
This was a "bonus" product for me this month. I've never tried any of Lime Crime's products so I'm excited to give this polish a shot! It's a beautiful bright pastel yellow.

Pixi Lash Booster Mascara
I'm always excited to try new mascaras but I feel like sample sizes are always a major fail. Is it just me or does anyone else agree? Now, I'm not saying this wasn't a decent size - I'm just saying I don't think I've ever tried a sample size mascara that works as good as the original. I wasn't "wowed" by this mascara, but maybe the actual size is better.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Great product! This is something I know I'll be using. I personally like the Smashbox primer. It reminds me of Bare Minerals, only a little thicker. I've read on Pinterest that it's the same ingredients as Monistat Chaffing Gel? Has anyone else read that haha? Anyways, I threw this guy in my travel makeup bag. It's the perfect size to take on vacation or on a last minute out of town trip.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in "69"
Yes..... the name is actually 69.
As I searched for the actual name of this lipstick, it became clear to me that Urban Decay took perversion to a whole new level (ironic that they have an eye liner name "Perversion). The names of the other lipsticks are indeed, not numbers, but hilarious and sketchy. "Naked", "F-Bomb", "Bang", and "Streak" are just a few other colors you can find in UD's latest lipstick collection.

I've never been a fan of their lipsticks. After buying 4 or 5 last year, I couldn't stand the smell of them! It's weird that I remember this, but you know how a barbie doll smells coming straight out of the package? No...?? Just me??? Okay, well basically melted plastic mixed with vanilla is the only way I can describe the scent. That's how those lipsticks smelled! Luckily, I haven't detected a scent in the Revolution Lipstick I received.

Overall this month's bag was great in my opinion. I got a great range of skincare, lip, face, and eye products to test out so I can't complain.

Don't forget to check out Ipsy here if you're interested in signing up :)

Until next time...
Love,
Shelbey

  1. I HATED the Pixi mascara, and the face mask burned me too! It was totally unexpected, and I couldn't leave it on for very long because I was afraid that my face would be all red. I didn't get the polish or lipstick in mine though. I got a chapstick and a cream blush (which I have not tried yet).
