July 2013 Ipsy Bag: "Beach Beauty"

Hi ya'll! Ipsy arrived! You know what that means.... *goes into full review mode*

This month's theme was "Beach Beauty". I received some interesting products I wanted to share with you. Enjoy!

Bag of the month is clear and neon. Kind of like a beach bag! So cute.

BH Cosmetics "California Collection" Eye Palette
This little palette was genius. Everyone loves getting eye palettes! I thought the colors were a little odd but you never know when you're in that "I want to try something new" mood.
If you're not familiar with BH Cosmetics, their shadows (in my opinion) are somewhere between not too dull and not very pigmented. They aren't the shiniest or most pigmented colors you'll ever see, but hey, they're cheap!

Pop Beauty "Pouty Pop Crayon" in Coral Crush
Gosh, I'm such a sucker for these roll up lip balms. I have everything from Tarte Lip Surgence, Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain, Clinique Chubby Stick, and Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Sticks...they just flat out ROCK! So I was definitely excited to see the Pop Beauty Lip Crayon. The color is very nice - a mix of bright pink and coral. I also found that the finish was also quite matte on my lips, yet still moisturizing.

Coola Tinted Moisturizer
I haven't tried this SPF tinted moisturizer yet but I'm pretty excited to. The size was a bit disappointing because its obviously a very small sample size (similar to what I used to get in Birch Box) However, I do think it's enough for a couple of uses.

Nailtini Nail Polish in "Mai Tai"
Nailtini is a familiar face. I received a red polish a few months ago in one of my bags. This color is a bright orange which I think is great for summer!

Healthy Sexy Hair "Soy Renewal Beach Spray"
YAYYYY! My favorite hair line! The Healthy Sexy Hair is seriously my favorite hair collection of all time. I use the Soy Renewal Leave in Conditioner and the Soy Renewal Protecting Oil...love them both. I can't wait to try out this texture spray. I have a feeling it will work well with my curls!

Selena Gomez Collection "Nicole" by OPI Polish in "Pretty in Plum" (extra)
This OPI polish is specifically from the new Selena Gomez collection. A friend and I were just looking at this line the other day! I was surprised when I received it in my bag! It looks like a gorgeous magenta purple with a metallic finish. This color will be perfect for fall when I go back to school. My school colors are purple and gold ;)

Overall, this months bag was very good..definitely an improvement from last months.

Remember, Ipsy is $10 a month for 5-6 deluxe to full size products. I absolutely love it and think it's the best subscription service out there.

I hope you all enjoyed!

Until next time...

  3. I received the exact same bag. Overally, I was pretty happy. I thought the same thing about the shadows, though. Strange combo...

    1. Yes, BH normally has decently pigmented shadows but for some reason I felt these were lacking a bit.

      Thanks for reading, Arielle!

  4. I LOVE the Healthy Sexy Hair Beach Spray! I use Not Your Mother's most days, but when I am outside all day, this is perfect, and doesn't dry my hair out so much like the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spay does. Nice bag, I may have to give ipsy a try!
