Hi everyone! I have an exciting collaboration post to bring you today with Joy from All Things White!
We have been working for a few weeks on this collaboration, bouncing ideas back and forth and finally decided to do a "Summer Date Night" fashion and makeup look. Joy is bringing you the outfit, and I'm delivering the makeup!
Joy "All Things White"
Joy is a true sweetheart! I found her blog via Style Sessions hosted by Lauren Slade of Style Elixir. When I went to her blog I assumed she had been blogging for a while. However, after we got in contact with each other, Joy told me she had only had her blog up for a week! I was so surprised not only because her page was so put together, but also because she was already participating in link-ups which I had NO CLUE what a link-up even was when I started. She has some great content and wonderful, trendy posts and I'm glad to call her my new friend!
Whenever Joy and I decided to do a "Summer Date Night" theme we didn't tell each other how we were styling or doing the makeup. Luckily, we both had the same idea in mind, fresh and simple. Joy's feminine and elegant outfit matches the simple and fresh makeup I created for this collaboration perfectly. Keep reading to find out how I got the look. Also, check out Joy's post to get the details on the outfit!
Whenever I think about a summer night, I think about minimal makeup. I mean, let's face it, the weather is hot and humid and everything is just going to slide off by the end of the night anyways. I also know that Will, my boyfriend, prefers less makeup (he claims all guys like less makeup).
So, for this look, I kept things fresh and simple, mixing a combination of drugstore and some high end products for everyone's taste. I hope you enjoy!
For the eyes I used Maybelline's Eye Studio Quad in "Sunset Seduction" It's a nice mixture of coral, browns, and taupes, perfect for a natural summer eye look!
As for the rest of the face, I kept the cheeks pretty in pink and topped off the lips with one of my favorite pink lip combos, Maybelline's "Lust for Blush" and Buxom Full Bodied Gloss in "Mwah". Speaking of the gloss, I chose the Full Bodied Buxom because Will HATES the tingle of the original Buxoms. He literally runs from me when he finds out I have on "tingle" as he calls it haha
I hope you all enjoyed this collaboration! Don't forget to check out Joy's Post to view the outfit details!
Thanks for reading.
Until next time...
