Too Faced "Boudoir Eyes" Palette Review ft. Planet Beauty

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to finally be able to do a full review over the Too Faced "Boudoir Eyes" palette for you! Keep reading for swatches, overall thoughts, and a complete eye look!

This product was sent to me for review by Planet Beauty. All opinions remain my own.

Too Faced "Boudoir Eyes"
  • The "Boudoir Eyes" palette is part of the Too Faced "Boudoir Beauty" 2013 Spring collection.
  • It contains 9 cool toned eye shadows ranging from matte, satin, glitter, and shimmer finish.
  • $36
  • With each palette, you receive 3 "step-by-step" eye look cards (Day, Classic, and Fashion)

My Thoughts
Pros
  • I have been using this palette everyday for the past couple weeks and I absolutely love it.
  • The color combinations are perfect for everyday wear as well as smokey eye looks.
  • There's a nice balance of matte and shimmer finishes for a great contrast.
  • The black shadow (French Tickler) is HANDS DOWN the BEST black eye shadow I have ever used. I've been using it for my eye liner everyday and it creates the best soft and smokey look. The most pigment black eye shadow I've owned to date.
  • The metal palette seems very durable and is a little bit smaller than the normal box palettes which makes it great for travel.
Cons
  • Satin Sheets appears to be absolutely gorgeous in the pan, however the color pay off was not impressive at all. If you refer back to my swatch you can see it's a rather sheer gold. I had to do a couple swatches just to get it to show up.
  • No mirror

My Look
  1. Place "Bare Skin" all over lid
  2. Apply "Sugar Walls" to the inner half of the lid
  3. Mix "Lap Dance" and "Garter Belt" together and start blending in the outer corner
  4. Take "French Tickler" on a flat eye liner brush and begin working it close to the lash line
  5. Make a small wing with your flat liner brush
  6. Take a soft pencil brush and a little bit of "French Tickler" and begin to smudge your entire liner for a softer look.
  7. Apply "French Tickler" and "Voulez-Vous" to the lower lash line
  8. Place a small amount of "Voulez-Vous in the crease
  9. Apply Mascara
You're Done!

Planet Beauty
If you all are interested in the "Boudoir Eyes" palette I would highly encourage you to check out Planet Beauty

Planet Beauty is a privately owned upscale beauty boutique founded in Newport Beach, Ca in 1992. They offer numerous well known beauty brands such as Smashbox, Too Faced, bareMinerals, and Dermalogica.

Planet Beauty has 32 locations spread out through the state of California. If you're like me and live outside of California then you can check out their website where they offer free shipping on orders over $34 which I think is great. I don't live near any major makeup outlet so I generally end up ordering online but I HATE spending $50 to get free shipping when I only need one thing.

I had NEVER heard of PB until I was contacted by a member of their PR team, Sydelle. Their customer service is awesome and Sydelle was so kind. I'll leave the direct link to the Too Faced "Boudoir Eyes" palette if you all are interested in checking out PB!

Thanks for reading!

Until next time...
