March 2013 Ipsy Bag

Hi everyone! Today's post is on the March Ipsy bag!

The overall theme for this month's bag is "Great Escape". The products are supposed to be great for travel! Enjoy!

Juice Beauty "Hydrating Mist"
First of all, I have to comment on of course, the size! This appears to look like a full size mist (although I know it's not) the size isn't too big and isn't a sample size, which I love. This mist is supposed to keep your skin refreshed and hydrated throughout the day. I did spray some on my face and I don't really notice a difference in hydration but it was refreshing! BEWARE: this is a strange and almost earthy with a mixture of floral scents (seriously like a fresh flower plucked from the ground).

Full Size: 6.75 fl oz. $22

La Fresh Travel-Lite Makeup Remover Wipes
Oh goody! I'm such a sucker for makeup remover wipes, cleansing towelettes, and just wipes in general (weird obsession?) I was pretty excited to see these! I think they are again, a perfect size for travel and just great to have on hand.

8-pack: $1.99

Glam Rx Magnetic Palette & Mirror
I have to admit I was pretty excited about this little guy. I thought this was very similar to a mini Z-palette. Basically, the bottom section that looks empty is magnetic. You can store bobby pins or even your favorite eye shadow pans from MAC or Coastal Scents for a little travel palette. I love this idea!

I also read up on this company and discovered that they are cruelty free and paraben free! Woot woot! ;)

Complete Touch-Up Palette: $16.50

Yaby Eye Shadow Pans
To display the ability of the magnetic shadows, I placed these Yaby shadow refills in the compartment so you can see in more detail. These little shadow refills are similar to coastal scents (only smaller). I had never heard of the brand "Yaby" before I received my bag. I'm not too crazy about the teal color I received, you all know me, plain Jane over here haha. But again, I do love the concept!

Yaby Shadow Refills: $3.15 (a piece)

Overall Estimated Value of the Bag:
$20 (give or take)
  • I wanted to point out that the Juice Beauty spray was not full size and the Glam Rx palette was empty and did not contain the built in beauty products it normally would. This brought the value of the products down and is where most of the deduction from the bag value came from.
I hope you all enjoyed! as usual, you can get your own Ipsy bag at www.ipsy.com
Until next time...

Love,
Shelbey
