Boutique of the Week: Red Dress Boutique

Hello to everyone!
I'm excited to be bringing you another boutique of the week! It seems that a lot of people read and enjoyed the last one, which makes me happy!

This week I'm bringing you the girly and classic styles of the "Red Dress Boutique" in Athens, Georgia.
Enjoy!

About the "Red Dress"
"The Red Dress Boutique was born from a need of creative expression on a larger scale…and shopreddress.com, to push that creativity even further. I knew I didn't have the patience to work an office job or to only make as much as someone told me I could earn, so I decided to open a store," says Diana, owner of the Red Dress Boutique.

Diana and her husband were barely married for seven months before they left their hometown and moved to Athens, Georgia. They opened Red Dress in September of 2005 and  the website followed in December of 2009.

I spotted one of the boutiques chevron maxi dresses on Pinterest and was instantly intrigued. After visiting the website and finding several EXTREMELY elegant and cute items, I knew I wanted to feature the Red Dress in this week's "Boutique of the Week" series.

One thing I really enjoyed about the pieces Red Dress had to offer was the feminine and classic elements. I absolutely love that in clothing. From the soft floral prints, to the form flattering peplum, I was instantly drawn to everything!

Q&A with Diana

1. Is there any specific theme your boutique has?
Diana: Our boutique is known as being girly, classic and fun. We love bright colors, prints and silhouettes that flatter. We try to introduce pieces that will just make you smile when you get dressed in the morning.

2. I noticed your chevron maxi dresses. In your opinion, what makes the maxi dresses so popular right now?
Diana: The maxi is comfortable, offers coverage and looks amazing on. Our chevron maxi is so popular because of the versatility of the cut. It really looks great on most body types!

3. Are there any specific trends or patterns your finding hard to keep on the shelves?
Diana: Anything with chevron, floral, stripes and colored skinny jeans. And anything that is a maxi!

4. What is your best selling clothing item (currently)?
Diana: Our best selling item is our Sea island shift. It comes in solids or numerous prints. We will never stop carrying that body. Everyone loves it.

5. What are some of your personal favorite trends/styles for the transition into spring? Any recommendations for readers?
Diana: My favorite trends are color combos of mint and peach, florals, the maxi, the nautical stripe and starfish jewelry. My personal recommendations would be find a great spring dress in a mint color, some awesome nude wedges and a maxi dress. But style is all about being comfortable in your own skin so the best looks are those that make you feel awesome when you walk out the door.

Latest Pieces
Diana was so right when she said the boutique had a reputation for "girly" items. These cute striped print dresses are so feminine and dainty!

The teal-ish/Tiffany Blue color is so trendy right now. This color flatters any skin tone. I love the simplicity and elegance of these dresses. The color says it all!

How gorgeous is this starfish bracelet?! I DIE! This is absolutely PERFECT for summer. I can't get over how gorgeous and unique this piece is. I may just have to have one for myself! Love it.

A big thanks to Diana and the Red Dress Boutique for allowing me to feature them in this week's series!

One last thing I wanted to mention is that the boutique has SO many pastel, lace, and floral dresses that will be perfect for Easter! Check them out if you're looking for something unique and feminine that no one else will be wearing this Easter holiday!

Thank you all for reading!
Until next time...

Love,
Shelbey
