Hi guys! I hope everyone had a great month of January. For today's post, I wanted to share a few of the beauty items I've been loving this month. Enjoy!
Almay "Get Up & Grow" Mascara
This mascara was a recommendation from my favorite Beauty Guru on YouTube, EmilyNoel83 (Beauty Broadcast). She always mentions this mascara in her videos so I thought it was time to give it a shot!
I have to say that at first, I wasn't sure if I would like it. The formula is dryer than what I am used to but that actually allows for more layering without clumping your lashes. The brush is quite large with a slight curve in the middle. I've really been enjoying this mascara. I got mine in "black/brown" for a more natural every day wear and I must admit, it has been doing a great job!
Rimmel ScandalEYES Eyeliner
Ok seriously, this eye liner is amazing! The formula is so pigmented and smooth. I normally don't trust drugstore eye liners (especially khol pencils) when it comes to smoothness but this one outdid itself!
I've been wanting a good skin-toned eye liner for my bottom water line but wasn't able to find a decently priced one until I stumbled upon the new "ScandalEYES" collection from Rimmel. The consistency of this liner is just as good as any high end brand I've ever tried. I purchased it for $2.99 at Walmart. The funny thing is, I had been contemplating on getting Stila's "Kajal" liner which would have been around $11 dollars (and that's with my pro discount!) Needless to say, I'm glad I found this guy!
Josie Maran Argan Oil
You guys may remember this from my January "Ipsy" bag. I've been using it every night on my skin as a moisturizer and also in my hair occasionally. It is very greasy. However, that's what I like when it comes to a nighttime moisturizer. The Argan oil makes my skin feel so smooth and rejuvenated when I wake up. Definitely a keeper!
Tarte Amazonian Clay BB & Bare Minerals READY Foundation
Of course, my two favorite brands couldn't slip away from the January Favorites without getting a mention.
I recently changed my READY foundation shade to "Medium Beige" instead of "Medium". The neutral undertone of Medium Beige does match my skin best (I still go for cools every now and then). I have been absolutely loving the READY foundation. If you haven't tried it, please do so!!!!
The Tarte BB cream has been a go-to for classes this month. It's quick and simple but still gives me some color and slight coverage. I mean let's face it, who do I need to impress at school? haha
Skinny Girl Solutions "Firming Night Cream"
So, when I bought this product, it was kind of a joke. A friend and I were shopping around T.J. Maxx and stumbled upon this. I jokingly bought it to see if it actually "firms". I can't really say that I have been paying much attention to that aspect, but I can say that this stuff is SO MOISTURIZING! Not only is it super thick and creamy, but it also smells like heaven. I use this as my daily moisturizer and it has been awesome!
That's it for my favorites! I'll have a video up shortly with a couple of non-beauty related items on my channel. Don't forget to check it out and subscribe :)
