Affordable OOTD's

Hi everyone! Long time no talk! I hope you all had a great Christmas/New Years! I thought it would be fun to do a collection of my recent and affordable OOTD's in this post today. As you will see, most of the pieces I wear are super affordable and can be found basically enywhere. I live in a small area (we don't even have a mall) so the majority of my clothing is either extremely cheap or reasonable (which I like). Work with what you got!

Most of my fashion OOTD's are posted on Instagram because that is currently my most popular social media platform. However, I'm aware that everyone may not have Instagram so I wanted to take the time to post my previous looks and give ya'll some inspiration and ideas on where to find these items. Enjoy!

Neutral & Casual
Inspiration for this look: casual day of running errands, shopping, and out to lunch.

Sweater: Old Navy
Scarf: Rue 21
Leggings: F21
Leg Warmers: Steve Madden
Studded Combat Boots: Wet Seal
Watch: Rue 21
Sugar Skull Bracelet: Claire's

Tip for this look: The rose gold watch I am wearing cost me about $10 and is made from two of the cheapest materials ever...rubber and plastic. However, I've gotten so many comments on how pretty the design is (someone even asked if it was Michael Kors haha?) My point is...jewelry is jewelry. Go out and find some cute/affordable accessories that will match numerous looks!

Classic with a Twist
Inspiration for this look: old Hollywood glam meets modern print

Knit Infinity Scarf: Old Navy
Top: Old Navy
Denim Leggings: Lauren Conrad
Leopard Oxfords: Wet Seal
Pearl Bracelet: F21

Tip for this look: Don't be afraid of print! When working with exotic or flashy prints, always dress down your outfit so your print can be the focal point. As far as affordability goes, print is basically in every clothing store. These Leopard print oxfords were somewhere around $15-$20 dollars. The best part is, you don't even have to have print shoes! A print scarf or handbag can work just as well!

Casual & Edgy
Inspiration for this look: A quick and easy look to throw together for class, lunch, or day outing.

Sweater: F21
Scarf: Rue 21
Spandex Leggings: F21
Studded Combats: Wet Seal
Leg Warmers: Steve Madden

Tip for this look: Again, the studded detail of these boots adds attention and flare. Keep your look simple and casual so these little accents aren't blurred out of the picture. By adding a cheap pair of contrasting color leg warmers to the look, this allows the boots/studs to be accented!

Urban Cozy
Inspiration for this look: perfect for any chilly day out of the house

Knit Infinity Scarf: Old Navy
Jeans: F21
Sweater: Old Navy
Boots: Steve Madden "Troopa"

Tips for this look: If you're a neutral kind of girl like me then you'll understand that our outfits can get boring and repetitive at times. I try to throw in some extra color/texture to a neutral outfit with two elements... 1. My scarf 2. My makeup! Although the scarf is a deep grey color, it is very thick and adds some volume to the outfit. A sweater, leggings, and scarf sounds really cheap to me!  Adding a pop of color to the lips and creating a deeper eye look can also add to the overall appearance of a neutral look!

(Face of the Day)
Foundation: Bare Minerals READY Foundation in "Medium"
Blush: Bare Minerals READY Blush in "The Indecent Proposal"
Eyes: The Star Treatment 8.0 Palette
Lips: Clinique Intense Chubby Stick in "Grandest Grape"

Chic
Inspiration for this look: a formal day at work

Scarf: Rue 21
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: F21
Belt: F21
Tights: TJ Maxx
Boots: Just Fab

Tips for this look: Use your favorite casual top instead of keeping the look too "dressy-dressy". One of my favorite things to do is go digging in the back of my closet for that forgotten basic top that will match anything.

Modest & Flirty

Inspiration for this look: another cute and casual day at work...also perfect for a quick dinner afterwards!

Scarf & Flats: Rue 21
Skirt & Top: F21

Tips for this look:  Take away elements. As you can see, this look is very similar to the one above. However, by taking away the tights and thick boots, this allows for a whole new look!

High Waist
Inspiration for this look: definitely another work favorite of mine. I love pairing a casual top with some high waist jeans to add that tailored element.

Top: Old Navy
High Waist Jeans: F21
Flats: Rue 21

Tip for this look: OWN A PAIR OF HIGH WAIST JEANS! Seriously, I know high waist jeans get the bad rep for "mom jeans" but they are a totally different story if they A. fit you right and B. are accentuated correctly. These high waist jeans were super afforadable (about $19). Make sure you try on high waist jeans to get a perfect fit (this is where the mom-jean jokes can come in). As far as accentuating goes, I generally never wear mine without a belt. The belt actually adds to the slimming effect that is already occuring with the jeans!
Edgy Chic
Inspiration for this look: any formal outing that can still allow for some edge ;)

Top & Jeans: F21
Necklace & Flats: Rue 21

Tips for this look:  Keep the abstract/edgy elements in one area and leave everything else alone. Notice that my edgy necklace and black color block print are in the same area of my body. I left the rest how it was. The necklace is another one of my cheap jewelry steals! (around $5)

Elegant & Casual
Inspiration for this look: The flowy and elegant lace top allows for this look to be extremely versatile. I would wear this for any occasion!

Top: TJ Maxx
Jeans: F21
Boots: Just Fab

Tips for this look: I think anyone has the ability to pair an elegant top with some jeans so I wanted to focus on the boots...they look expensive right? Well.. this style of boot has been everywhere! I've seen it at Target, F21, and even places like Rack Room Shoes. I actually purchased mine from Just Fab which is an online subscription site that sales shoes for only $39.99 (plus free shipping). This was my first purchase and I actually only paid $19 for them! I can't remember if your first order is always $19.99 or if this was a special. Either way....boots can run anywhere from $50+ dollars so it's great to always know you can find affordable and amazing quality boots here! Check them out!

Thanks so much for reading guys!
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a lovely day.
