If you would have asked me how I liked my makeup a few years ago I would have said "Cakey, with a little face." Now that I'm older and have learned so much more about makeup, I believe keeping it simple is the best way to go.
An everyday makeup look for me is natural, simple, and luminous. I like to even out my complexion rather than hiding it. For a naturally luminous finish I always reach for my Bare Minerals Original Foundation (Fairly Medium C20 is my shade). Not only is this foundation PARABEN FREE, it only contains 5 ingredients that are all minerals. I didn't name this post "Healthy" for nothing!
With just a small amount of this stuff, my complexion is smoothed out and my face is left with a natural glow. I highly recommend the Original foundation by Bare Minerals if you are looking for a light weight foundation with a natural finish.
For blush, I always keep it neutral! If you were to blush naturally, bright hot pink wouldn't appear, which is why I go with a light pink or more of a nude blush.
The blush I used for this look is by Vera Wang in 015. It is such a natural pink that can be worn with basically anything.
And of course, for that beautiful natural glow, you cannot forget a highlighter of some sort.
One of my favorites to use is "Mary-Lou Manizer" by The Balm. It is the most perfect highlighter I have ever used. I generally apply a couple strokes to the highest point of my cheekbones to achieve a healthy glowing complexion
As far as lips go, I generally gravitate towards a lip balm or something sheer. For this look, I used one of the new Maybelline Color Whispers in "Lust for Blush". It's very similar to my Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy (which is my favorite pink of all time). For a natural look you really just want your lips to be enhanced with sheer color.
I love using neutral quads like this one from L'oreal. This quad is called "Subtle Berries. To achieve a natural eye look you don't have to have the latest "Naked Palette" or high end eye shadows. The key to a soft and slightly smokey natural eye is knowing where to apply the shadows and BLENDING!
I hope this look gave you guys some inspiration for your every day makeup routine. It's also perfect for people just starting out! Thanks so much for reading!
