Bare Minerals READY Blush/Bronzer/Highlighter Collection

Hi everyone! I will be posting a video soon on my READY blush, bronzer, and highlighter collection from Bare Minerals! In the mean time, I wanted to do a quick post on the close ups and some color selection opinions/advice. Enjoy!

The Whisper
Color Description- Skin-Toned (slight pink undertone)
The Whisper is absolutely my favorite READY blush. Not only is it great for fair skin tones, but it literally goes with any makeup look. As you can tell from the photo, it looks very close to the color of my hand. I would highly recommend this color to someone who isn't a big pink fan or blush fan in general. If you're more of a Medium to Tan complexion, sometimes this blush has a tendency to not show up.

The Aphrodisiac
Color Description- Coral/Peach
Calling all coral lovers! This blush is a perfect mixture of coral and peach. It's definitely one of my favorite blushes for summer because it gives the most gorgeous peachy glow. The Aphrodisiac has some slight shimmer particles in it, however, they don't show up on the skin. This is definitely not a traditional pink blush. If you're looking for something new and outside of the regular pink family, then go for this one! This blush works for most skin types from Light, Medium, and Tan. Although, I will say I use it the most on Medium complexions!

The Confession
Color Description-Neutral with Orange Undertones
The Confession is definitely number two on my favorites list, following right behind The Whisper! This READY blush is very similar to The Whisper but contains more of an orange undertone. It is such a gorgeous blush color for fall! Like I mentioned, I'm not a huge pink blush fan so I gravitate more towards brown, nude, or orange blushes. If you like The Whisper but aren't too sure if it will show up on your skin, then I would go for The Confession! It's definitely darker and more pigmented.

The One
Color Description- Neutral Pink
The One is a Bare Minerals Best Seller. The perfect neutral pink. If I'm needing some extra color I like going for The One because it's not too pink and almost has a slight peachy undertone. Generally, if a customer is looking at our READY blushes, I would say about 80% of the time they want The One. It simply has something about it that people love, the perfect pink medium. The One is great for all complexions starting from Light to Tan.

The Tease
Color Description- Cool Toned Pink (purple/blue undertone)
It's so funny how I'm never a pink blush person and still love this color. The Tease is a gorgeous pink blush with a purple-ish undertone. It works wonderfully with cool foundations (Fair, Fairly Medium, Medium, Medium Tan) I like to call this my "girly" blush because I feel like it's so dainty and feminine  (haha)

The Faux Pas
Color Description- Bright Pink
Looking for a bright pink? Look no further. The Faux Pas is a very pigmented bright pink. Believe me when I say it only takes a little of this to give you a bright flush of color. I normally like to recommend this color to women with Tan, Dark, or Deep Complexions. For darker skin tones it adds that perfect amount of color. Keep in mind, if you are fair to light it will show up very bright if used too heavily.

The Skinny Dip
 Color Description- Light Golden Bronzer
My photo does not give this bronzer a good title for "light", in person, this bronzer is very light and is perfect for women who are intimidated by all of the super dark bronzers out there. The Skinny Dip adds a nice hint of golden color to the skin without appearing too dark.

The High Dive
 Color Description- Medium/Dark Brown Bronzer
The High Dive is Bare Minerals "medium" shade bronzer (there's a darker shade above it called "The Deep End") However, I consider this a DARK bronzer. I use it to contour mostly. It does a fabulous job of sculpting the face and of course, adding warmth to the skin. I would definitely only recommend this shade to Medium to Tan complexions.

The Love Affair
Color Description- Peachy Pink Sheen
The Love Affair is definitely my favorite luminizer out of the two colors. These were part of the limited edition 2012 Holiday collection but I believe they are still available. The Love Affair is so gorgeous because it gives your skin a healthy glow without chunks of shimmer everywhere. In my opinion, it works best with cool tone foundations since it already has a pink hue to it.

The Shining Moment
 Color Description- Golden Sheen
The Shining Moment is a gold luminizer that again, only gives a subtle sheen effect. If you're in the neutral to warm shade family then The Shining Moment will definitely work well with your foundation.

I hope this post helped you if you were considering on buying a READY blush or interested in the different shades! You can find them HERE !

  1. Hello! I am using the one blush and it is really super-pigmented, like it so :) I want to ask a question, I have a cool underskin tone. I can't decide. Bareminerals foundation fair or fairly medium, medium? Which shade is best for me? Unfortunately bareminerals products not exist in my country anymore so I search those shades from the internet but can't find the right tone for my skin. If there is recommendation, I love to listen. Thank you xx
