Hi everyone! As you all probably know, I am a huge fan of bold lips! Dark, Deep, Rich, or Colorful..I'm normally all for it. The latest fall trend has surprisingly been the dark and mysterious "vampire" lips. I absolutely love this trend and that is what I will be sharing with you today! Enjoy!
Despite the fact that my boyfriend told me I looked "gothic" when I re-created this look, I absolutely love the way it turned out. This is the picture I took inspiration from:
So how did I recreate this look? Let's get started!
It's quite obvious that the model definitely has much lighter skin than I do. She also has a nice luminosity to her skin like that natural "vampire glow" (haha). I used my lightest foundation which is "Fairly Medium" by Bare Minerals. The model has no blush, only a precise contour on her cheeks along with an amazing highlighter.
I used a powder highlighter by Bare Minerals to give my cheeks a nice glow. However, if you prefer liquid products then I would suggest High Beam by Benefit! To achieve that precise contour I would always recommend working with a matte bronzer. Hoola by Benefit is amazing for contouring!
The eyes are fairly neutral for this look since the lips are the main focal point. I used a combination of 3 colors consisting of a matte beige, light gold, and light copper. All of these colors can be find in "The Rare Find" READY quad by BE. The model probably has less shadow than this but I wanted to jazz up the look a little. I also used a basic cream liner for the classic wing. The eye lashes aren't very noticeable in the picture so I stuck with a standard black mascara.
And now for the finishing touch! The amazing dark plum I have on my lips is "Violet Ray" by NYX! I absolutely love this color! I really wanted the look to be matte but when I saw this color at ULTA I couldn't pass it up! Of course, I have chronic chapped lips through out fall and winter so it would definitely look 100 times better on smooth lips!
That's it for my spin on the continuing vampire trend! Hope you all enjoyed!
Have a lovely day.
