June Beauty Favorites

Hi everyone! So this month I didn't have quite as many makeup related favorites as I normally would because it is summer time and I try to keep my makeup very minimal. However, I do have some great products to fill you guys in on! Don't forget to check out my June Favorites & Fails video for more detail about these products! Hope you enjoy!

YES to:Cucumbers (Soothing Makeup Wipes)
Okay, I'll admit that I have NEVER actually used a makeup wipe. I generally remove my makeup with Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser. However, I decided to pick these little guys up and give them a try. I found these makeup wipes at Walgreens for $5.99. They include 30 pre-moistened hypoallergenic towelettes to remove your makeup with. After removing my makeup I did notice a slight cooling sensation (I'm assuming that is where the "soothing" part comes in). The wipes took my makeup off very well. I can honestly say I have been enjoying plucking them out of the packet every night to remove my makeup. I will say that these REALLY DO SMELL LIKE A STRAIGHT UP CUCUMBER. If you are expecting the very fragrant "cucumber melon" scent like you find at Bath and Body Works then I will warn you the smell is very different but not unpleasant.

Rimmel "Glam Eyes" Day 2 Night Mascara
I have to admit that anytime a mascara is on sale I WILL BUT IT. That's the case with the Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara I found at Walgreens for only $1.99. This mascara generally retails for $7.99. I definately wasn't paying that price for a mascara I had never tried. So when I saw this opportunity, I quickly jumped on it. My previous experience on mascaras with changeable brushes hasn't been very good. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this one but it shocked me! At first sight the brushes look very standard. Nothing fancy at all. The Length brush is your every day skinny wand. The Volume brush doesn't even actually appear to be very big at all. However, this mascara has been working extremely well for my lashes (I have about a medium lash type). The main thing I am so impressed with is that it doesn't clump one bit. I will say that the length brush actually does a better job separating the lashes and giving them that "flared look". All in all, I loved this mascara!

Jordana Cosmetics "Fabu-Liner"
To create a flawless cat-eye look with my eye liner I have always stuck with Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner. However, I have recently had a problem with it showing up in the crease of my lid (yes I use a quality primer). I have always wanted to try a felt tip liner but didn't want to pay 8 or 9 bucks for a little pen. A couple months ago I was watching Carli Bybel on YouTube and discovered she used this eye liner. I knew Jordana was quite inexpensive so I decided to pick a couple of their products up. This eye liner has been outstanding! It has quickly became a staple in my makeup routine. The felt tip creates a precise line every time I wing my liner. It also dries extremely fast, almost immediately after application. For only $2.99 you can't beat this eye liner.

Kenra Design Spray/Light Hold Styling Spray 9
Tresemme Nourishing Rituals Protein Renewal Creme

After mentioning to my hair stylist I needed a lighter hairspray for summer that would still give me a good hold, she quickly handed over this product to me. I have only used Kenra's styling mousse in the past and I wasn't extremely impressed with it. This styling spray definitely changed my mind about Kenra! I love the light airy mist it delivers and still gives me a strong hold through out the day. It also smells VERY good! If you're looking for a hair spray that isn't too heavy then I definitely recommend this one!

I have been on the hunt for a good moisture enriching cream to leave in my hair while I'm in the shower. I randomly found this one day at Walgreens (what do you know haha) on sale for $2.99. I used to be a die hard Tresemme hair spray girl until I discovered it made my hair smell burned once I got out of the shower. Needless to say I haven't really been using much of their products lately. Whenever I found this I was willing to give it a try. The creme claims to improve the strength of your hair by 97% after one use. I don't know about one use but it has definitely helped my hair! I mix this with my conditioner in the shower and leave it on my hair for about 5 minutes. I've noticed that my hair has became a lot more manageable and softer. I want to keep using this product to see if it can really do some work for my hair!

The High Dive READY Bronzer

This bronzer is part of the Bare Mineral's new READY collection featuring all solid products. This shade is the medium colored bronzer (they offer 3 colors). This bronzer is perfect for sculpting and contouring the face. I absolutely love the golden color it delivers. I would definitely recommend this shade to medium skin tones. A little goes a long way. The pigmentation definitely packs a punch!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Top Coat

Let me just say that if you're not using this as your top coat then you don't have the correct top coat! I was so impressed with this product that I swore I would never go back to any other top coat. My previous clear coats were thick and took at LEAST 30 minutes to dry completely. The Insta-Dry top coat claims to dry within 30 seconds after application. I don't know if 30 seconds is exact but my nails are completely dry within a minute (two minutes TOP). This top coat has given me relief that I can paint my nails and not have to wait a lifetime for them to dry. Thank you Sally Hansen!

Well guys, those were just a few of my June Favorites. I hope you all enjoyed!

Have a lovely Day. -Shelbey
